Geckos, Mopeds and Fish Gut Soup

So as many of you know last time I was in Thailand, I had a little shower buddy that I wasn't too fond of. It was a gecko. Well, when we came home last night and I was getting ready to shower, much to my surprise I found a gecko on the wall, which startled me. Moments later he was running around and I screamed. I'm sure the apartments around me were thinking silly farang!

Wednesday night has been dedicated as farang food night. So the four of us American teachers and one of the Thai ladies who works for the school went out for dinner. We road on the mopeds, which was so much FUN! America should really consider investing in mopeds-- it would be a good way to save gas. What do you guys think? Since I have only been here a day we went out for Thai food. Some of the stuff was really good amongst the different foods was what we called fish gut soup. It was interesting to say the least. Not my favorite, but I tried it.

Anyway, I should get back to getting curriculum and things for class together. I hope everyone is doing well. I thought I would share a couple of stories that I found to be amusing.

Take Care,

Elainea

Fish gut soup...yummy! I think I'll make that for dinner tonight just because it sounds so very tasty! ;0) Glad to hear you are already feeling comfortable enough to drive around without getting lost!

i remember them geckos in my younger years in okinawa...they were cool. :)

if i didn't live so far from work, i'd definitely hit up the moped style; maybe try that in marseille.

as for fish gut soup, congrats on getting the courage to try it; even i'd be a bit hesitant.
